Bloom With Grace -

Creating cards on a budget!

This graceful card started with a quest for budget worthy stamp sets and ended in a lovely card filled with inspirational thoughts.

Altenew’s - Bloom With Grace stamp set can currently be purchased for less than $7 dollars at Scrapbook.com, so that definitely checks our affordability category.

Quality of the stamp set passes without even a question since it’s Altenew. We already know them to be over the top when it comes to durability and presentation.

While I didn’t choose any of the suggested designs that come in the packaging for the stamp set, I did design a card with a quick and easy layout.

So here’s the Bloom With Grace stamp set.

It has a nice modern vibe to it. The images are simple glass vases featuring stems of greenery. There are 2 different sized vases - so not a lot for imagery, however the endless options for sentiments and inspirational little quotes leave a lot of possibilities to create a great card.

I like that you can play with all of the words and phrases to come up so many different sentiments for the card.

Here’s the measurements -

Card base - 4 1/4 x 11, Scored @ 5 1/2

Pattern Paper - 2 1/4 x 5 1/2

Pattern Paper 2 - 2 5/8 x 4 1/8

White cardstock - 2 1/2 x 4

To create this card I stamped the larger vase on the white cardstock piece. Colored it with copic markers. I stamped a the smaller image on a piece of scrap white cardstock and colored only the leaves and fussy cut them. I added them to the focal image using glue at the stem and tiny pieces of foam tape under the top leaves to create dimension.

I blended just a touch of sky blue ink randomly in the background of the image.

I adhered pattern paper one to the card base, and stamped the desired image vertically along side the edge of the pattern paper.

I layered the focal image onto pattern paper layer 2. Added foam tape to the back and adhered that on top of the card front.

I added a small splatter of metallic gold water color paint and a few coordinating dots.
