Wrap up Your Christmas List with the Perfect Gift Card Holder
Good morning, friends! The coffee is hot, the to-do list is… moderately under control, and today we’re putting a big festive checkmark next to gift card wrapping with this adorable Christmas holder!
If you’re anything like me, there’s always at least one person on your Christmas list who is both impossible to shop for and very easy to please—mostly because they’re getting a gift card. This quickly crafted gift card holder is the perfect way to "present" it --no pun intended.
This cheerful little holder is dressed up like a mini present itself, complete with a pretty bow, a sweet “noel” tag, and patterned paper that gives total cozy-Christmas vibes. It’s the perfect balance of festive charm and Saturday-morning-coffee-powered crafting joy. Honestly, it might be the easiest (and cutest) thing I check off my list all season.
One of the very best things about this project? You can dive straight into your paper stash and pick any patterned design you love. Christmas berries, classic stripes, elegant foils—whatever you’ve been saving for “the right project,” this is it.
The construction is wonderfully quick, too, making it ideal for those last-minute bursts of creativity.
So lets move on to the measurements & instructions for this little cutie!
Cardstock:
4 3/4 x 5 - Score on the long side @ 2 1/2 (present bottom)
5 1/4 x 3 - Score on the short side @ 1 1/2 (present top)
3 1/4 x 4 (card holder matt)
White Cardstock:
3 1/8 x 3 7/8 (card holder)
Scrap of white for tag
Pattern Paper:
1 3/8 x 5 1/8 ( present top)
4 5/8 x 2 3/8 (present bottom)
Instructions:
Cut & Score the present top and bottom.
Fold at the score lines.
Using glue or tear and tape close in the short ends for both the top and bottom (leaving the long edges of both pieces open like a pocket.
Wrap ribbon around each of the pieces of pattern paper and secure the ribbon on the backside.
Use liquid glue to adhere pattern paper pieces to each of the coordinating sections of the box.
Add the white cardstock layer to the remaining color cardstock piece with a small border around all of the edges.
Apply a small section of tear and tape to the top of the back of the matted piece ( the section that will hold the gift card). Tuck it into the top pocket of the card positioned nice and straight and press down to secure the gift card holder piece to the inside pocket of the present top.
With a small piece of tape seal or a glue dot, adhere the gift card to the holder section, and place into the bottom pocket of the present.
Isn’t this just adorable?
Lastly, tie a bow with coordinating ribbon, cut a tag, stamp a greeting on the tag and attach just tucked under the bow.
Tie it up with a bow, tuck in your gift card, and voilà—your holiday gifting just became so much cuter. This charming little gift card holder is proof that even the smallest gifts can steal the show.
Merry wrapping!
