Creating with a Paint Splatter Background - Thank you Card
This weeks card design layout features one of the super fun backgrounds that were created with our Amazon Stencils, if you missed Affordable Background Stencils - Click here.
This colorful “Thanks” card was simply crafted using only half of our background panel, leaving us with the other half for another project.
After ink blending the stenciled ink splotch background in super fun bright colors onto the background panel it was cut in half at the 2 1/8 inch measure. A circle die was added into center position, and a half circle was cut from the ink blended layer.
That circle was turned around and both pieces of ink blended cardstock were added to a card base cut at 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2.
A word die was used to cut the “thanks” word 3 times from a navy cardstock. These 3 layers were glued together to add dimension to the sentiment word, and placed centered into the circle section.
The sentiment words “for your” & “kindness were then stamped into the white space of the circle section.
A few simple rhinestone gems were added to complete this card design.
** This card design could be created using any word die cut.
** Pattern paper would also work to create this card layout.
