Bella the Bear and Morning Coffee + me and morning coffee…

Or anytime coffee - is there such a thing as anytime coffee?!

Cuz that is me > anytime coffee. I drink coffee in the morning, the afternoon, and at night, and at all the moments in between those!!

I go to bed at night, just so I can get up and drink coffee!

I actually reward myself for checking things off my “to do” list with coffee - while I drink coffee

I know, you get it!!! I like coffee - the word addiction might even fit in there…

But let’s move on to Bella and the card that was created and brought to you by today’s sponsor - Coffee!

Now I know you have all seen Bella before, I’ve featured her with her delicious looking cup of coffee on a few cards.

I wanted to re- introduce her today just to bring her back into the spot light as I have a few more cards coming up featuring Bella - however not with coffee!

Yes, Bella has been on a few more adventures and is ready to go front page with her stories… I mean card front.

Why I like creating cards in a series type format -

  • if the character was cute to work with, then chances are it will be fun in a 2nd and 3rd creation.

  • I seldom ever create the same card twice, I don’t mass produce or even duplicate produce so working with the images of the same character gives me a chance to have more fun with that particular little friend. ( yes, they all become my friends ).

  • A card series makes a great gift idea! When I want to gift someone cards - I create a few cards and envelopes using the same character and bundle them up in a cute little coordinating hand made gift bag. Including one card that is specially addressed to them. Let me know if you have more interest in this project! ( in the comments below).

The card above though using the same digital image ( find out where that came from below ), that I used to create a previous card, looks so much different just by changing the colors in the image and the background paper, as well as the shape used to highlight Bella on the card front. I happen to love this navy blue design, it has definitely been one of my favorites!

I guess this is definitely a reminder to change up your colors, pattern papers, and design layouts in order to get the most from your images. No matter what the image is or where you purchased it from - we all want the most bang for our buck!!

THE LINKS IN THIS POST CONTAIN AFFILIATE LINKS - WHICH MEANS THAT IF YOU CHOOSE TO PURCHASE A PRODUCT FROM ONE OF THESE LINKS THAT I WILL MAKE A SMALL COMMISION. THIS DOESN'T COST YOU ANY EXTRA TO PURCHASE.
I THANK YOU FOR YOUR PURCHASES AND SUPPORT! THE SMALL COMMISION HELPS ME TO CONTINUE TO SHARE CARD IDEAS AND EXAMPLES WITH YOU.

I’ve listed most of the products above that I used to create this card. The adorable image of course comes from Polka Doodles and is a digital image. The sentiment is digital as well and from the Coffee, Tea and Cake Quotes for Cards - jam packed with so many sentiments, you’ll never have to use the same one twice.

Digital Images : I know, I’ve been creating with them a lot and I’ll just re run the reasons why!

  • Polka Doodles images are amazing! I love them!

  • The images come with a cutting file. Though I usually just fussy cut my images - some people love the ease of the cutting file.

  • You can purchase the image digital files in black and white - ready to color, or if coloring isn’t your thing - you can purchase the same image precolored. How easy is that?

  • There are tons of digital sentiments and digital pattern papers to make your project just perfect!

  • You only need to print the amount of paper you want, so you’re not stuck with a whole pack of paper in designs that you may never use.

  • After purchasing the digital files, they live on your computer, not on shelves in your craft space taking up precious room for other non digital products!

  • Digital images give you the ability to resize images, so you can have images as big or small as you like creating the perfect project every time. You can even flip the image to mirror it. So much versatility with a digital image.

  • PRICE POINT!! This should have been higher up on the list! You can’t beat the price of a digital image ( most digital images ). The digital images that I use to create with are usually under $5 bucks and a whole deal with paper and sentiments can be found for less than $10. No where can you get a full sheet of themed sentiments for less than $5, and I am quite sure that the digital paper price continues on the very inexpensive side of the scale.

  • Create with the image instantly! You don’t have to wait for your order to be shipped and delivered. I always hate that part when I order a stamp set - by the time I get it I have lost all of the inspiration I had for the stamp set when I ordered it. Digital images are instant. Pick them out, purchase them, save them to your computer, and create with them!

  • NO SHIPPING FEES - my favorite part! Have you seen the price of shipping these days? I believe it just went up again. More often than not in the last few weeks I have opted not to purchase in online shops after seeing the price of shipping! The shipping in most cases was more than the product I was ordering! I can’t be happy enough over no shipping fees on digital images!!

  • Lastly… here in Canada we have a carbon tax plan - I mean a climate change plan! We are taxed heavily on anything that contributes to climate change ( so shipping & manufacturing ). There are many opinions on our now 2nd carbon tax ( climate plan ) and we won’t get into those cuz there just isn’t enough coffee for that. However I will say that that climate change is an issue that needs to be addressed all around the world-

Using digital stamps is my contribution to reducing the carbon footprint.

That being said … Remember to check back for the new cards featuring Bella!

Let me know in the comments below if you have used a digital stamp or have an interest in trying a digital stamp, or maybe you are unsure as to how to use them. I’d love to know!
