A Tweet Little Fall Birthday Card

Some people go birdwatching with binoculars… I go birdwatching with coffee and cardstock. Same thing, right?!

With leaves falling, birds chirping, and a little crafty magic, this birthday card brings all the joys of fall into one happy design!

Nothing says fall birthday vibes quite like plaid paper, a cup of coffee, and a little coloring that won’t make your brain hurt. I kept things simple—just coordinating the cozy plaid background with the colors on the mice, tree, and birds. The kind of easy, no-stress coloring you can do while waiting out a thunderstorm (or avoiding the laundry you swore you’d fold yesterday).

Once the critters were colored, it was all about staging the scene—placing the little mice at the base of the tree, letting the birds perch happily, and pulling everything together so it looks like they actually planned a party in the woods. The plaid backdrop ties it all together, like the woodland version of party streamers—minus the cleanup.

I just love all of the little stamps included to fill in the heart on the tree!

And there you have it—a cheerful little fall birthday scene that proves plaid, critters, and coffee go hand in hand. I’ve listed the supplies I used below in case you want to recreate this look (or put your own twist on it with papers and colors from your stash). After all, the best part of cardmaking is mixing a little creativity with whatever makes you smile—thunderstorms, caffeine, or just a pile of pretty paper.

Powered by coffee and a suspicious number of craft supplies, this fall birthday card is ready to take flight—literally, with birds included!
