This udderly fantastic card is so much fun to create or receive!
The card starts with a card base cut at 4 1/4 x 11, Scored @ 5 1/2 ( opens horizontally ).
Next we adhered a piece of your favorite patterned paper cut at 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 to the card front.
Then we cut a piece of bright green cardstock at 3 1/8 x 5 1/2.
As well as a piece of white cardstock at 3 x 5 1/2. We used this layer for our stamping.
We stamped the cow image and the little speech bubble from a retired Stampin’ Up set and colored the images using copic markers. I love his yellow boots!
Using a bright green ink we created a mixture of ink and a few water drops onto a stamp block and used a paint brush to create a splatter on the background of the stamped panel.
** Tip: to avoid splatter on the focal image place the stamp that was used to stamp the image to cover the image while placing the splatter. Remove the stamp and just quickly clean it off.
When this piece was dry we layered it onto the bright green layer and attached that to the center of the card front.
We are now ready for the sentiment. This Love word die is so playful and fun - it also adds embossing to the paper at the same time it is cutting. To create the sentiment we used 2 layers of the word cut and stacked together, then cut the same word from black cardstock. We shaded the left and lower sides of the top die cut using a coordinating marker to create even more interest for that sentiment.
The black layer was glued to the stacked words just a bit offset to create the shadowed image under the word itself. The sentiment was then adhered to the card front just barely overlapping the image.
We stamped a “Sending You” you love in a black Versifine ink just above the die cut word to create “Sending You Love” for a final sentiment.
Lastly we added a few coordinating enamel drops to the card front.
We were left with an udderly fantastic card!!!
I hope this card has given you some creative inspiration to create a fun card to send to someone who could use some love!
