You Make Everything Butter (A Corny Valentine Card)

Does this qualify as a Valentine card?

I’m going with yes — because not all Valentine cards need hearts, flowers, and mushy-gushy sentiments. Some of us prefer humor, popcorn, and a good pun… and this card checks all those boxes.

This card came together using a mix of products pulled straight from my crafty stash.

The popcorn bucket die (one I grabbed awhile back) just happened to be the perfect starting point — and bonus, it’s currently on clearance over at Simon Says Stamp. I paired it with a single piece of bold red-and-white striped paper from a paper pad that practically screamed movie night. Sometimes one great piece of paper is all it takes to set the tone.

I also went digging through my stamp stash and lucked out with a set of wonderfully corny sentiments.

The front sets the stage, but the real smile comes when you open the card to reveal the inside message:

“You make everything butter.”

Not gushy. Not over-the-top. Just the right amount of cheesy to make it perfect for a fun Valentine, an anniversary, or even a just-because card for someone who gets your sense of humor.

This one proves that shopping your stash, mixing old favorites with new finds, and letting a little creativity (and corniness) lead the way can result in a card that’s playful, personal, and totally share-worthy.

Products Used to Create the Card:

Poppin’ Corn Wafer Die - Simon Says Stamp

Popcorn Phrases Stamp - Karen Burniston (Scrapbook.com)

Simple Stories Fun Times Collection Paper

I’m curious — would you send a pun-filled Valentine like this, or are you more of a classic hearts-and-flowers type?
