When Paper Crafts Meet Beads: My Key Charm Adventure

If you've been following along with my creative journey, you probably know that paper crafting has always been my first love. Cards, notebooks, journals—you name it! But somewhere along the way, my crafting adventures took a little detour into the world of beads.

It all started quite innocently. I began creating beaded charms to coordinate with my handmade notebooks. They were meant to be a fun little extra—a decorative touch that added personality and charm to each notebook. Then something unexpected happened...

People started asking if they could buy the charms on their own!

Before I knew it, requests were coming in for charms to hang on purses, backpacks, diaper bags, keyrings, planners, and just about anywhere that could use a little sparkle and fun. Apparently, people love cute accessories as much as I do!

This cheerful frog charm is a perfect example of the playful side of my beading projects. Made with quality food-grade silicone beads, bright colors, and an adorable frog focal bead, it's designed to bring a smile wherever it goes. I also enjoy creating more elegant designs using glass beads, crystals, and specialty accents, along with larger bubblegum-style beads for those who love bold, whimsical pieces.

One of the things I've enjoyed most is seeing how people use these charms in ways I never imagined. What started as notebook accessories have become purse charms, zipper pulls, backpack decorations, and thoughtful little gifts.

And because so many people have asked how they're made, I'm thinking tutorials might be in my future! It could be fun to share some of the techniques, supplies, and design ideas behind these creations so others can try their hand at making their own beaded charms.

So I guess it's official—my crafting doesn't end with paper anymore. Sometimes it includes silicone beads, tassels, charms, and the occasional adorable frog. And honestly? I'm having a blast exploring where creativity takes me next.

Have you ever started a craft project that unexpectedly turned into something completely different? I'd love to hear about it in the comments!
