Happy New Home - Greeting Card

Happy New Home

We celebrate so many accomplishments every day - new babies, graduations, weddings, and certainly a new home or property should be on that list of occasions to blow out the streamers for!

Obtaining a new home or property these days is definitely an achievement. Real estate prices are extremely high and our current government ( Canadian ) has made it tougher than ever to achieve a goal that in the past has been a lot of work and some fancy budgeting - but doable.

My point being that home ownership is definitely a reason to send a card!

Perhaps the “new home” refers to another type of situation where someone is for the first time moving into a rental unit that is a new home to that person. Still exciting stuff! Sometimes new homes are about new beginnings.

Sending a card to celebrate these moments can definitely warm the experience and let loved ones know that you are rejoicing in the “new” right along with them.

Ok.. so we have established that “New Home” cards are a thing…

and since they are a thing then what better way to create a new home card than with Bob the Dog? Bob is not only adorable, he also appears to be adventurous and up for change. We will embark on a few more adventures with “Bob” in the future.

Here’s a little Bio about Bob. Bob comes from the Polka Doodles Stamps & Paper Crafting company in the form of a digital image and he now lives on my computer. He is there for me to hang out with and document his new journey’s in life on my desktop with some patterned papers and fun sentiments in the form of crafting cards. Fun times for me… and well Bob doesn’t seem to mind either.

On this particular card front above “Happy New Home” I love the image itself! it creates such a playful atmosphere, Bob with his colorful paints, brushes and rollers. Not only does it show the items but the image creates the idea that Bob is using the paints to paint his new dog house. This kind of image, in a split second, creates playful fun in the imagination. Add some color and the image comes to life even more.

This image comes as a sketched illustration ready for coloring which allowed me to choose my own fun color palette for Bob to create with. I love the details in the drawing and Bob’s tweet little bird friend.

The 2 patterned papers used to create the card above were also digital designs from Polka Doodles, and in fact these papers actually come with the image as well as a few sentiments.

I have listed the set of products below which also comes with a price tag of less than $5 dollars. Less than $5 dollars for images, digital papers, and several sentiments. That’s value for your buck!

It will come as no surprise to anyone who has been hanging out here at my page that I am really loving Digital options for card creating! I am totally loving that I don’t need extra storage space for the supplies ( they live on my computer ), I can have the image to create with as fast as I see it so I don’t have to wait for weeks for it to arrive after ordering, I don’t have to pay high shipping costs to create a card, and the price… well the price can’t be beat!!

Digital creating has definitely become my go to for crafting! In fact… I just made a few dozen cupcake toppers for a little persons birthday cupcakes - they will be popping up here in the next few days so be sure to check back for a look a those.

So my question today is - Have you tried creating a card with a digital image yet?

and has Bob maybe enticed you to give it a try?

Let me know in the comments below!

Thank you!
