Imagine you’re a little gingerbread man strolling through the snow on Christmas Eve, the scent of sugar and spice floating in the air. As you peek through a frosty shop window, you spot a scene so sweet it warms your cookie heart — jars of candy, gingerbread and Christmas cheer. That magical moment inspired this fun shaker card design—using the adorable “Shop Window” image in the Gingerbread & Holly Collection from Polkadoodles. A fun square design, and a snowy background provides the perfect backdrop for the shaker window. A few shimmery shaker bits, snowflakes and a playful “Happy Holidays” sentiment finish it off — because every gingerbread deserves a little holiday magic.

To bring it all together, I created a shaker-style window filled with sparkling snowflakes — because even gingerbread men deserve a little shake and shimmer! The depth adds that perfect frosted-glass look, and the gentle movement brings the whole cozy scene to life.

The card itself is a non-traditional 5 x 5 square, a shape I love for shaker designs — it gives that perfect windowpane feel and plenty of space for snowy sparkle to swirl around. Sometimes the best cards are the ones that feel like they might actually jingle when you pick them up!
