August Vibes - Mixed Media Tag

That’s the feeling I wanted to capture with this cheerful little tag. A touch of mixed media layers, a splash of honeycomb texture, a few torn bits of vintage music, and suddenly you’ve got a tiny canvas that hums with summer vibes.

The bold yellow blooms practically stretch toward the light, and that plump little bee? Well, he’s clearly here for the party.

It’s late August here, and it’s sunflowers with bees buzzing - which fits in perfectly with my passion for creating journals and all that go with them. And so this tag came to be, using layers of papers from Polkadoodles Rose Bud Collection (this collection is a must) paired with a Blooms 3 floral image. Ink stenciling, bits of lace. and a touch of splatter created a backdrop for a popped up bee & floral blossom.

So whether it finds a home tucked between journal pages or dangling from the perfect gift, this tag is just a little love note to slow mornings and simple joys. I think that’s why I adore making these—tiny pieces of art that remind me life doesn’t always need a full canvas to feel full.
