Today’s card is quick, easy and fun!

(with 2 examples)

The little trick we are learning today is to use your scoring tool to add some detail to your card that will leave the card looking absolutely next level.

We start with a card base cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, Scored @4 1/4.

Next we cut a strip of pattern paper that you absolutely love at 1 inch x 5 1/2. Adhere that strip approx. 1 1/2 inches up from the bottom of the card.

Place the card in your trimmer or scoring board, or however it is you score paper.

Turn the card vertically and score 1/8 inch from the edge of the pattern paper across the card. Move the card another 1/8 of an inch and score again. And one more time to create 3 lines running parallel with the pattern paper strip.

Repeat this process on the other side of the pattern paper strip, leaving you with 3 score lines on either side of the pattern paper.

Stamp or heat emboss a desired greeting in the blank space on the bottom corner of the card.

Use a 1 1/2 inch strip of paper as a mask to cover the designer paper and cover your greeting as well.

** An easy way to mask the greeting is to place the stamp you used to stamp it back over the top of it ( clean of course ).

Using a splatter of desired ink color or metallic water color - add a touch of splatter randomly on the rest of the card front.

Remove the mask and clean off the stamp that was used as a mask.

Add a few gems, dots or rhinestones to coordinate with the vibe of your card.

That’s it… a beautiful card with some classy definition!!

Here’s a 2nd variation of the card - done in a vertical layout.

This card has a completely different look to show you that the pattern paper chosen, the sentiment and color are all very versatile for this card layout.

Have some fun with this card layout!! I’d love to see what you create!!
