Using an edge die to create a beautiful layout for a card…
While this card already has a seemingly beautiful image as a focal point - this adorable squirrel on a stump, sometimes a card just needs a little something more so this lovely edge die from my stash was perfect adjustment to this card.
The die cut edge on the front layer of this panel is popped up with foam tape which creates dimension and interest for the recipient.
The back panel is cut from a patterned paper in a yellow tone on tone combo that boasts tiny little hearts.
The squirrel image was from one of my favorite sketchers - leehollandarts, and you can find these adorable images over on Etsy. Add color with some Copic markers, water color or even pencil crayons.
I manipulated my stamp a little when placing it on my stamping block to mimic the curve of the die cut edge when stamping the sentiment.
I love how this card turned out and can’t wait to send it to one of my crazy squirrel lovin’ friends!
