It’s unique design is always a super fun surprise for the recipient.
The card is disguised as a Graduation hat with an explosive opening that reveals images, sentiments and even a gift card holder.
This card design is incredibly easy to create and can be decorated with any images and sentiments that you desire.

Quick Instructions to Create this Explosive Graduation Hat card:
You will need:
2 pieces of black or patterned cardstock paper cut at 4 1/4 x 4 1/4
1 piece of white cardstock cut at 8 x 8.
Black bakers twine or embroidery string.
Instructions:
Fold the 8 x 8 white cardstock paper in half.
Open it back up, turn and fold it in half the other way.
Open it back up and fold diagonally.
Crease all fold lines well with a bone folder.
Once the folds are nice and crisp the explosion layout will basically fall into place it self. If not just tuck the edges in to the form the design that you see in the photo above.
Wrap the black twine around 4 fingers several times, remove it from your fingers and set down.
Cut 2 more sections of twine at about 3 inches each.
Use one to tie around the wrapped pieces of twine about half inch from the top of the gathered loops. Secure with a knot. This makes a looped section in your tassle.
Use the 2nd piece of string to pull through the loop and attach to the top of the tassel for adhering to the top of the hat.
Using a whole punch or a piercing tool poke a small hole in the center in one of the sections cardstock that are set aside for the top and bottom of the hat. Pull the attaching strings though the small hole and attach on the backside with a glue dot and a piece of scotch tape to hold in place. Tassel is attached to the top layer of the hat.
With the white inside mechanism piece folded flat into place, adhere the panel of cardstock that is meant to be the top of the hat onto the top of the folded cardstock piece.
Turn over and repeat this process for the bottom section of the hat.
Suddenly you have an graduation hat with an explosive inside.
For the pocket:
Cut a piece of black cardstock at 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and cut diagonally in half.
Add tear and tape to the 2 shorter sides of the back of the pocket panel and attach to the bottom of the explosion section of the inside of the card.
Decorate the card inside with desired images and sentiments to personalize the card intended recipient.
Don’t forget to add a gift card or money into the pocket!
