This or That -Gorgeous Dragonfly Cards
It’s time for another episode of “this or that” - where I create 2 cards and we choose which we prefer.
Episode (hahaha) I said that like it was an event that leaves one hanging on the edge of their seat awaiting the next installment. For all intents and purposes the “this or that” card pickings can get dramatically intense around here. Whether it is watching the creation of the 2 cards or the choosing of a favorite card - it’s all in good fun and something we look forward to.
What can I say? Not much happens around these parts. :)
A Beautiful Dragonfly is the focal point on our cards today.
Both cards feature the same dragonfly - possibly in different colors.
Each card contains an embossed background - completely different embossing folders.
Both cards feature ink blending in the background.
Each card has is geared for a different sentiment.
Both cards were super fun to create!
The Dragonfly is a gorgeous 3 piece die set from Simon Says Stamp and I absolutely love it. Having the die cut in several pieces gives so many options to create the dragonfly using different papers, textures and colors, as well as the ability to create dimension.
Bright Dragonfly - Simon Says Stamp
Both cards started with an embossed panel, ink blended with different ink colors with a dome shaped ink blender (dome shape provides a different outcome when ink blending). One panel was cropped using a paper trimmer and the other with a wonky shaped rectangle die.
The dragonflies were both ink blended using different ink colors, assembled and placed on the embossed panels, and added to a card base.
Each card carries a different sentiment.
I absolutely chose this card as my favorite of today’s cards! I just love the background colors and also the gorgeous flirty pinks of the dragonfly. “Happy Everything” sentiment is also a favorite card sentiment for me.
This card is Barb’s favorite. My sweet friend who sits through the making of the “this or that” cards, gives suggestions, and asks a lot of questions. :) She was taken with the gorgeous blue shades of background and the vibrant colors of the dragonfly. She loved the sweet “you make me smile” sentiment.
