Strawberries & Plaid to Sweeten Your Day
A 5 Minute Monday Card
It is. without a doubt, officially strawberry season here…
Everyone is hunched over in berry patches filling baskets to the brim. Strawberry shortcake is on the dessert menu on many dinner tables, and sweet, juicy strawberries are the perfect snack right now for any time of the day…
So this card is perfectly in season!
This sweet and juicy card has a very simple layout that definitely qualifies it for “5 Minute Monday” and though it was supposed to release yesterday (Monday), it wasn’t ripe yet…Just kidding.
However a huge storm swept through our community on late Saturday evening leaving many downed trees and power lines, and unfortunately many sad stories. My heart goes out to anyone who is dealing with this aftermath.
So this “5 Minute Monday card” has been picked from the patch a little late.
Supplies for this card:
card base cut at 4 1/4 x 11, Scored at 5 1/2
a fun embossing folder
Berry Sweet Pattern Paper cut at 2 x 5 1/2
Sentiment Strips or any sentiment you may have
Assembly:
Cut & Score Card base
Emboss the card front with a favorite embossing folder
Adhere the pattern paper strip to the card front using liquid glue.
Stamp, color & cut the strawberry image.
Stamp an extra berry from the stamp - color, cut.
Coat the berries with Nuvo Crystal Glaze for that gorgeous shiny effect.
When dry, use foam tape to attach the berry image onto the card front.
Add a sentiment strip or a stamped sentiment on a scrap of cardstock.
Add a few Clear Leaf Drops to add extra interest to the card front.
Stamp desired sentiment or decoration on the inside of the card.
Match with a coordinating envelope.
