Butterfly Blossoms - Creating a Card for Fun!

Using a Simon Says Stamp Card Kit.

A lot of my design projects are created for an intended purpose - so to show other card makers great paper crafting supplies and how I decided to use them, which can be a great adventure in itself.

However sometimes, I just want to sit down in my work space and create with no intent and purpose. This is how we refresh our mind and let creative control take over.

I sit down at my desk with no particular product focus in mind, I allow myself to just grab anything and create -whatever comes to mind.

Sometimes I do this using supplies from my stash that may be getting dusty and have a slight neglected complex, or…

I grab one of my Simon Says Stamp Card Kits!!

I love Simon Says Card Kits for exactly this purpose. The kit allows me to have fun with fabulous products that have all been curated together to provide maximum creativity.

Several products that somewhat coordinate, or at least share a general theme, are all compiled into one box with a little sweet treat!

I sit down at my desk with my box of goodies, my best friend (a cup of coffee) and turn on some you tube videos so I can catch up with other crafty friends while I create. It’s fun to craft with a friend, even if it’s on a video, they share fabulous ideas that are ever so helpful if you happen to be in a creative slump. Plus you know there is someone else out there enjoying the same products that you are about to get crafty with.

This card came about from a kit from a few months ago, however I haven’t had the time to give it much love until now. I think I created one other card with it a while back (I’ll post that below).

The card design was something another lady was using for a card design and I decided to use it with the Butterfly Blossoms stamp set that was included in the box of goodies before me.

It’s super cute and definitely could have been easily turned into a shaker card.

I love the butterflies and the wildflowers.

Simon Says Clear Stamp - Butterfly Blossoms

Simple Stories Vintage Flower Shop Pattern Paper

This card used only the stamp set from the mentioned kit, though the stamp is still available.

The paper was from the next month’s SSS Card Kit.

This brings me to one of the biggest reasons that I love a Simon Says Stamp Kit. Because the kit is packed with tons of great products from paper, stamps, dies, mediums, inks, embossing folders, etc -these are all builders for your crafting stash. They are also new just released products. Supplies that are bundled together for a fabulous price that comes in at a far lower price than purchasing any of it separately. Shipping is 10 bucks! That is by far the cheapest shipping I can get!

As I am writing this - my next kit has just been delivered. I’m so excited!

Maybe I will share that with you in another post! So watch for that and the first card I will create with the stash of products contained in a fun box!

Here is a card I created with the Butterfly Blossoms Stamp Set (still available), along with a few other products from my stash.

This fun slider card reveals a hidden message!

Super cute, super fun to create!

The full monthly card kit used to create these cards is no longer available as they are a monthly card kit, however the products from the kit are linked above - so if you love these butterflies and wildflowers they are still available to you.

If you would like to get in on the Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Here is the link for that!

Start receiving a box of fun for August!

I’m off to have a peek at the new SSS Card Kit that has just arrived, so be sure to check back to see a card created with those fun products.
