Simple Elegance - Ornaments Christmas Card

Simple Elegance

Featuring "Ornaments" Digital Stamp

from the collection of Jan Mahew

The image featured on this beautiful holiday card is actually a free image! Don't you love when something is free? Especially something that can be used over and over again...

Just as a red rubber stamp or a photopolymer stamp can be used over and over again, the same is true for a digital stamp.  I have been having so much fun creating with these digital stamp collections as you can probably tell from the featured photos in the posts here.
There is so much to love about a digital stamp -

The price point is amazing! You can beat the price of creating with these digital images. The average image is equal to the price of a dollar store item. There is not cost for shipping. And the image in the card above was actually free remember... I'll tell you about that in just a minute.

Digital images or stamps are definitely a fabulous solution when it comes to storage space in our crafting areas, since digital stamps can just be saved on your hard drive or an online drive.

Also digital images can be altered in size when designing a card front, which is a great option to have when creating.

Ok.. I know you want to hear about the free part...

The "Ornaments" digital stamp used on the card above came from the collection of Jan Mahew. I shopped her amazing Christmas Wish Book online, purchased a few images that I loved and happened to see this great image offered for free. As well as a set of sentiments. That's right, you can also purchase or snag some free sentiments to use in your card designs as well.

After choosing the design I wanted to use on my card, in this case "Ornaments" was the chosen file.  I printed it as a digital image on 4 x 51/4 card front, colored the image with Copic markers, used some white gel pen on the snowflake images, and gave the card a beautiful splatter of silver sparkles. It looks beautiful!!

I also watched my first Hallmark Christmas movie of the year while creating the card, so there was that...

** I am not an affiliate for Jan's Digital Stamp Shop. I have suggested her images simply because I love the designs and I always like to point you in the direction of affordable card making choices.

If you need any help understanding how to use digital images for your cardmaking you can refer back to a previous post with a bit more information about that here. If you have any other questions just simply send me an email.

I hope you loved the card featured today and that it has left you with some creative inspiration.

Be sure to check back to see what other holiday mischief I can get into...

Happy Crafting...
