I created this Faux Step Panel card for my husband's birthday on Tuesday!!
He has a cute green truck and spends a lot of time in the woods milling lumber.
I wanted to create a card that spoke to him and everything about this card coincided with everything he likes.
I did have to dig into some retired stuff to find something I could use to
create some little logs or sticks of wood to go in the back of the truck.
I used Merry Moose stamp set and cut the raccoon off of the log
to create that effect.
However, the Trucking along stamp set has a ton of great things to add to the
back of the truck - including flowers, flower pots, a Christmas tree,
palm trees and some presents.
Not only does the stamp set include the above images it also includes the fill in stamp for them. So you don't even have to color the images if you don't want to.
Personally, I love coloring the truck though...
This stamp set also comes as a bundle that includes the Truck Builder punch.
I didn't purchase the punch as it is quite easy to just cut out the truck.
The layout for this card is a Faux Step Card, which is really simple to create.
**Don't forget to emboss the plain cardstock panel for some added interest.
Supplies Used to Create this card:
I have made a quick
with the measurements which you can download here.
To view the card creation... you can watch the video here.
( the sound has been cut from the video since my grandson was
here and he's quite chatty π
).
However, you can definitely still see the process.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card and that it has given
you some creative inspiration...
