This simply stamped card presents as whimsical & fun!
It's quick & easy and I'm sure could be made in many different colors, old or new!
The card base is Boho Blue Cardstock cut at 8 1/2 x 5 1/2. Scored @ 4 1/4.
The daisy images from the Fresh As a Daisy stamp set are stamped on a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Basic White Cardstock in Memento Black Ink.
Next I dabbed ( just the corner) of my Boho Blue ink pad onto one of my stamping blocks. I added a drop of water from my water pen onto the block, and just gave that a swirl around to mix.
I painted the flower petals using my water color pen and the Boho Blue watercolor.
Light coverage on most of each petal, leaving a small bit of white at the end of the petal. I used a darker blend of the water color to add some texture to the petals as you can see from the card front.
If you try this card -
Just play around and have some fun with the daisies.
Don't put the water color brush away or the stamp block with the ink on it.
I stamped the daisy centers in Lemon Lolly Ink using the stamp in the Cheerful Daisies stamp set.
Tapping the water pen against my finger I splattered bits of the Boho watercolor ink onto the card front.
When I was happy with the results - it was time to clean the water pen.
I swooshed some strokes from the brush lightly across a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Basic White Cardstock, leaving some beautiful brush strokes and cleaning the water color pen all at the same time.
I set both panels aside to dry for just a few minutes.
Using dimensionals, I attached the layer with the water colored daisies to the card front and brushed the flower petals with a touch of Wink of Stella.
I used some clearance bin ribbon from quite some time ago that just happened to match perfectly with the Boho Blue color.
I stamped a sentiment on a scrap of Basic White Cardstock, and attached the sentiment over the ribbon using dimensionals.
I also used Blue Adhesive Backed Gems that are currently available in the clearance bin to add some interest to the card front.
Going back to the layer where I cleaned my brush, I stamped a sentiment and adhered this panel to the card inside.
This made for a really nice inside and cleaned my water pen at the same time!
The inside sentiment on this card was from a retired stamp set called Bragworthy.
I love the fun sentiments in that set, so I continue using it!
I was able to create this card so quickly and very little supplies. I'm sure it took me longer to type out the process.
Speaking of the process, I hope everyone understood it. It's early in the morning and I have definitely not consumed enough coffee yet to clearly put together instructions.
I hope the instructions were enough to give you some creative inspiration and get you thinking about other color options or maybe even different stamped flowers.
