Trophy Fold Card ~ Best Day Stamp Set ~ Create a Card

Best Day Stamp Set - I purchased this stamp set awhile back, I think I made a card or two with it, then it just seemed to get overlooked after that. 
The stamp set is great for birthday cards and I just felt it needed some love!
So here we are... that big birthday cake image needed to sit on a card front as a stand alone image and this layout worked great for that purpose.
This Trophy card ( I don't know what else to call it ) layout is quite easy and quick to create. 

Just a few notes before we get to actually creating the card -

  • Country Gingham Designer Paper - also on the retiring list. This designer paper has been so versatile for creating cards with many different stamps sets. I'm sad to see it go. You will want to grab some of that!

Ok.. so back to this Trophy card


I love this Sweet Sorbet color for so many images. I used Stampin' blends markers for the Sweet Sorbet coloring on the cake, as well as a little Crumb Cake.
On the white parts of the cake, what I presumed to the be the icing, I added a little Wink of Stella. 
Wink of Stella just adds a touch of magic to any image.

I chose silver Festive Pearls for some added interest on the card front as they paired well with the silver in the Metallic Mesh Ribbon.
