Flashback Friday ~ Create a Card - Hello Cupcake

Here's a flashback to the "Hello Cupcake" stamp set!
This stamp set has created some tasty greeting cards in my studio in the past.  I even used it to decorate a cookbook filled with cake and cupcake recipes ~ scrapbook style.

I thought it was time to pull it out and create a card.
I do that often with a retired stamp set from days gone by... for one there are certain sets that I just love, and secondly to encourage every one to use the supplies you already have in your crafting stash.

We are about to embark on another new Annual Catalogue at Stampin' Up, plus some amazing new colors for ink, cardstock, designer paper, ribbon and embellishments.

While the New Catalogue release is always exciting, we need to continue to create using the great products we already have. So today I combined the "Hello Cupcake" with some of the newly released Country Gingham designer paper.

I also used some embellishments that are currently in the clearance bin ~ Expressions in Ink Ephemera Pack
for $3.80 CAD

I used the Stripes and Splatters embossing folders ( splatters I guess ) to emboss the color cardstock section.

So... some old and some new product to create this card, however you can use what you have on hand.

Cutting Measurements:

Sweet Sorbet Cardstock - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Score @ 4 1/4

Sweet Sorbet Cardstock - 3 x 4 (emboss this layer)

Country Gingham Designer Paper - 4 x 5 1/4

Attach the Designer series paper to the front of the card base.

Basic White Cardstock - 4 x 5 1/4 (inside layer)
Basic White - 2 3/4 x 3 3/4  (stamping layer)

Stamp the cupcake bottom on the the above layer, the sentiment on the top of the layer.
Stamp the cupcake top a scrap of Basic White cardstock and fussy cut around it.

Attach the embossed layer in a wonky fashion to the card front.  Attach the stamped layer to the card front using dimensionals.

Use dimensionals to attach the cupcake top to the in the cupcake bottom on the card front.

Add a few of the sparkly sequins, gems or rhinestones for some added interest on the card front.

Stamp the inside panel with a sentiment - I used "Sprinkled with Love", and then stamped a few sprinkles from the stamp set in Sweet Sorbet ink.

That's it - This is one Sweet Greeting Card!
