Today's 5 Minute Monday card tutorial features the Petal Park Bundle, however the card can be created with most any image or sentiment.
I'm not sure you about you, but I'm certainly ready for Spring!
Here in Ontario, there is tons of snow still everywhere. Despite that the the daylight is lasting longer, the daffodils and tulips are peeking up in my flowerbeds, and the robins have started to fly about. Spring is everywhere!!
This card starts with a standard card base of 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 cut from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock and scored at 4 1/4.
After scoring the card base, place it back in the trimmer open and horizontally at the 1 3/4 mark. As pictured below.
Cut from the score line up to the bottom of the card base edge.
Place the card base back in the trimmer and cut 1 3/4 inch across the score line, or you can just use your snips.
Remaining Measurements:
Tea Boutique Designer Paper - 3 1/2 x 4
Basic White Cardstock - 4 x 5 1/4
Basic White - 3 inch circle
Sweet Sorbet - 3 1/4 inch circle
Remaining Instructions:
Attach the designer paper layer to the front of the card base.
Stamp the sentiment on the top of the circle.
Stamp only a section of the leaf outline on the circle using the Petal Park Stamp set & Garden Green Ink. Fill in the leaf section with Granny Apple Green Ink.
Stamp the flower outline from Petal Park stamp set on a piece of scrap Basic White using Real Red Ink. Fill in the flowers with Sweet Sorbet Ink.
Use the punch from the Petal Park Bundle to punch out the stamped flowers.
Layer the white circle onto the Sweet Sorbet Circle.
Apply glue to only one half of the back of the circle layer and attach to the right side of the card front.
Adhere the flowers in the desired position on the circle layer.
Stamp any desired sentiments or images on the Basic White Layer and attach to the card inside.
Add a few Festive Pearls to the card front for added interest.
Here's a quick peek at the products used to create this card.
Petal Park Bundle ~ This bundle is absolutely so sweet. It can be a little bit of a pickle lining up the fill stamps with the outline stamps. Once you practice once or twice it's quite easy!
Tea cup Boutique Designer Paper ~ gorgeous paper that shows off the In Color 2022- 2024 colors. No matter if you're not into teapots, the reverse sides of the paper are lovely patterns featuring the same brilliant colors.
I love this beautiful combination of red and pink, it reminds me of lush juicy strawberries in season! A wonderful color addition to any card or paper project.
Festive Pearls ~ These lovely little gems may be festive, but they are definitely not just for Christmas! I use them all the time, and especially love the gold ones... or the silver ones... I just really love them all!
Layering Circle Dies ~ an absolute must in your craft artillery!!
These were one of the first things I purchased from Stampin' Up and I use them so much. The many different sizes of regular circles with coordinating size Scalloped circles are perfect for dressing up many projects!
Wink of Stella ~ I saved the best for last! Every flower I create for a card has a touch of Wink of Stella, and not just flowers... I use it to create glistening snow, water puddles, sky scenes or even to add a little glimmer in the eye of my favorite fun little character.
I can't forget the Paper Trimmer ~ I would be lost without it!
This trimmer allows you to cut and score the paper materials for all of your projects. It's easy to use and an absolute must have for any craft room!!
