5 Minute Monday ~ Happy Family Day!

It's family Day here in Canada!
What better way to celebrate family that with the arrival of a New Baby.  Though I do have a  new grand baby coming, it's not until March ( which is whole other little miracle story ), so  Family Day seemed like a great day to create a baby card, since I don't do enough of those.  I never seem to have one handy.
I feel the lack of baby related stamps or sentiments could be why I don't create many baby cards. I certainly always have people looking for them.
I set out to create with products I already had in my arsenal.

I used the bunny from the Playing in the Rain stamp set.

I also tried it with the Easter Bunny stamp set.

The sentiments were from Happier Than Happy stamp set.

The cards turned out quite cute, however I would still be quite pleased with a really great "baby" oriented stamp set.

So here's the card Measurements:

Petal Pink Cardstock - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Scored @ 4 1/4
Scrap to cut a circle or scalloped circle

Designer Series Paper ( Dandy Designs ) - 4 x 5 1/4
1/2 x 5 1/4  ( card inside )
 Designer Series Paper 2  (reverse side of paper) - 2 x 5 1/4

Basic White Cardstock - 4 x 5 1/4 ( card inside )
Scrap to cut a circle ( slightly smaller than the Petal Pink circle)
Scraps to stamp the sentiment.

Cut and score card pieces. Cut a circle in basic white cardstock. Stamp the bunny image from either stamp set on the basic white circle.
*** Wipe the ink off of the puddle section of the stamp if using the bunny from Playing in the Rain.
Vaguely color the bunny using a Gray Granite blends marker, as well as Petal Pink for the nose, inside of ears, and create a cute little rosy cheek.
Assemble the card as pictured above. Using dimensionals to pop up the circle layers on the card front.
Add a few In Color 2021-2023 Opal Rounds to give the card a little added interest.
As if that Bunny does not add enough interest!

Maybe you don't need a baby card?
This card layout works for many other occasions as well.

I used the same bunny to create an Easter Card...

And a Birthday Card!

I hope you enjoyed today's card. I hope it motivates you to make a beautiful card for someone special in your life.

Have a wonderful Family Day and remember ~
