Request ~ Simple Stepped Up Easel Card

This card was created using the layout from a card that we created some time back in the summer and was decorated with beautiful sunflowers ( Celebrating Sunflowers Bundle ).

I've had several requests for a tutorial for this Sunflower card, so since it's the Christmas Season I figured why not showcase it with a festive theme.

So this layout is the same only focusing on this beautiful Christmas Tree cut from Lights Aglow Designer Paper using the Twinkling Lights Dies.

This card has a beautiful layout which steps up that focal point on the card front.
The execution is quick & easy... which we all love!!
and it results in a lovely greeting card.

Don't limit yourself to just this card. Try it with all of your favorite stamp sets and images for any occasion.

Featuring Snow Wonder Stamp Set ☝

If I look back in my files ( that's a bit like pandora's box )... I have some more examples of this card, I believe with the turtle, giraffe and sloth set.. I forgot what it was called.

Anywho... no matter the occasion you are creating this card for , or what stamp set or focal image you are using.. it turns out beautiful!

So here it is...

Scrap of Gold Glitter Paper - die cut star

Gold Festive Pearls

Cut & Score Card Pieces. Assemble matted layer and attach to the narrow section of cardstock.
Assemble Designer Paper layers to coordinating card stock layers.
Attach the narrow layer of cardstock to the front of the card base lining it up with the bottom of the card base (centered )
Attach the 3 inch section of this same layer to the back of the card base. This layer will stand higher than the card base.
Stamp or emboss a Greeting.
Die cut the Christmas Tree and a star from Twinkling Lights dies.

I also embossed additional gold glitter and garland on the tree using the Christmas Lights Stamp Set.

Using dimentionals attach the tree to the center panel of the card front. Add the star to the top of the tree.
Attach the small designer paper strip across the bottom of the card base ( this hides all of the construction ). Attach the greeting strip to the top of this layer.

Stamp the card inside with a sentiment or intended images, and attach the card inside.

Add a few gold festive pearls for some added sparkle on the card front.
