Is it just me?! Or is anyone else just absolutely in love with the Soft Seedlings stamp set?
It's a pretty basic stamp set. Not full of bells and whistles, yet has the ability to create some extremely beautiful cards... and very easily at that!
Today's card is definitely a really simple card.
This sponge daubed leaf leaves such a pretty image!
So gather up your supplies and let's get ready to do this!
Supplies needed to create this card:
Early Espresso Cardstock ( or any other coordinating color )
( all products are linked to my online shop )
Wink of Stella is definitely one of the most amazing products ever ☝!
Card Measurements
Cajun Craze Cardstock - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Scored at 4 1/4
Early Espresso Cardstock - 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 ( optional )
Very Vanilla Cardstock - 4 x 5 1/4
Scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock ( large enough for the large leaf image )
Very Vanilla Cardstock - 4 x 5 1/4 (inside panel)
Instructions
Cut & score card pieces.
Glue the Early Espresso Layer to the front of the card base.
Emboss the Very Vanilla Cardstock layer in the Falling Leaves embossing folder.
Stamp the “Grateful” greeting from the Soft Seedlings stamp set on the bottom corner of the embossed layer. (The embossing folder allows for a section that is not embossed).
Using the larger leaf image in the “Soft Seedlings” stamp set, sponge daub ink randomly onto the stamp using these colors ~ Old Olive, Mango Melody & Cajun Craze until it is covered with a variation of the 3 colors.
Give the stamp a nice huff ( an exhaling of breathe ). Stamp the image on the Very Vanilla card stock scrap.
Using some paper snips, cut around the image.
With dimensionals attach the leaf image to the front of the embossed card layer.

Cut a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Vanilla cardstock for the inside panel.
Using the smaller seedling image repeat the same process used to color the leaf. Huff, and stamp this image on the bottom corner of the inside card layer.
Stamp the sentiment “ for you” on the bottom right side of the inside card layer.

The same card created without the Early Espresso layering panel on the card front.
Still beautiful!
In case it's to early for fall... here is the same card created using Parakeet Party, Orchid Oasis, & Starry Sky inks. With Starry Sky Cardstock for the card base.
This card works up so quick & easy! Honestly, the most time consuming part was cutting out the leaf image, and even that didn't take long!
