The Aspen Dies ~ this die in particular from the set, makes creating a quick card a breeze.
This card is works for many occasions.
I've chosen "birthday" since that's the occasion I need most often.
This card works perfectly for masculine cards, or anyone that loves the outdoors or a scenic sky.
Aspen Dies ~ they are sold as a stand alone set of dies or in a bundle with the beautiful Perched in a Tree Stamp set.
This bundle comes from the July - December Mini Catalogue and it's absolutely beautiful.
The greetings and sentiments are lovely, love the bird, the dies are so intricate and easily create a card that is just gorgeous.
Today's card, I kid not, was 5 minutes and done.
Card Measurements:
Night of Navy Cardstock - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
( yes I used retired Misty Moonlight )
Scored @ 4 1/4
Crumb Cake Cardstock - 4 x 5 1/4
Rings of Love Designer Paper - 4 x 5 1/4
Soft Suede Scrap ( die cut deer )
Basic White Scrap ( to stamp Greeting )
Basic White - 4 x 5 1/4 ( card inside )
Instructions:
Cut & Score the card pieces.
Centre the Tree Die cut on the center of the Crumb Cake layer and run through the die cut machine.
Using dimensionals attach this layer to the front of the Designer Paper Layer.
* I used regular and mini dimensionals for this so I could be sure all of the tree sections would be elevated.
Attach these layers to the card front.
Die cut a few deer from the Grassy Grove Bundle or any die cut deer you may have.
Attach the larger one with dimesionals and just glue the smaller one in the bottom right corner.
Stamp the desired Greeting on the scrap of Basic White using Soft Suede ink.
Trim the greeting up to desired size using paper snips and attach to the card front.
Stamp the inside panel with desired sentiment and attach to inside of the card.
Add a few Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front... and it's good to go!
This card is finished and ready to send off in the mail.
Rings of Love Designer Series Paper is available during Sale a-bration as a "free" item, but only until Aug 31st!
So grab up this beautiful paper before it's gone.
This card was created using the same layout as the card above, only using the Hues of Happiness Designer Paper.
If you have a spare 7 minutes to create your card ~ here's one with a bit of an alteration created up for Halloween!
( Ya, cuz that's coming... ) π
Use the Hues of Happiness Designer Paper ( with the hues of purple, pink & blue ).
Die cut the tree section from the Aspen Dies using Basic Black Cardstock.
Using paper snips, cut 1 section of tree out.
I used a die cut for a bat from a retired set from last holiday season and die cut 2 bats and attached them on the card front.
This gives you a whole 2 extra minutes to snip that tree out!
That's it! I hope you have enjoyed today's 5 Minute Monday!
Let me know if you create up something awesome!
