Just a few days ago I found myself in the same dilemma that I speak of often when teaching a card tutorial.
I was heading out the door to a function and realized I needed a quick Birthday card to take with me.
For a moment I looked like a deer in the headlights... what would I make quickly?!
I looked around my office and there was a Stampin' Up Delivery box from a few days ago that I hadn't gotten around to unpacking yet. π²
I know... you're wondering how that could happen? How could I receive a box of goodies and not have them unpacked yet? It's been a very busy few weeks, hence why I was also unprepared for a birthday.
I told myself "whatever is in this box" ~ I'm making a card with ~ Time limit = 5 Minutes or less ( preferably less ).

Luckily the box contained these beautiful tag dies ~
Designer Tag Dies
I was hopeful I could whip something up using these.
These dies leave so many options to create beautiful tags and cards.
When I saw the "Wonderful World" designer series paper, I was then confident I could create a card.
The "Wonderful World" bundle can be earned for FREE when you purchase $120 of Stampin' Up product during Sale a-bration. The bundle includes this gorgeous paper pack, and this stamp set of beautiful flowers that coordinate with the paper.
I didn't use the stamp set for today's 5 Minute card, however I did choose this beautiful piece of paper.
Each and every piece of paper in the pack is simply gorgeous!
I wish it was in the Annual Catalogue, however it isn't so it's a limited time offer until Aug. 31st.
Materials & Instructions:
Cut the the tag used on the card from a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock, which added a nice little sparkle.
Also from the Designer Tag Dies, cut 1 section of little greenery from a scrap of Mossy Meadow, and another from a scrap of Vellum Cardstock.
Cut the Butterfly from the die set out of a scrap of Blushing Bride Cardstock.
Stamp a "Happy Birthday" greeting or a greeting of your choice from the Go To Greetings stamp set on the top section of the tag. *Keeping in mind the tag will be placed horizontally on the card.
Run a piece of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon through the end sections of the tag and tie the ends together in a bow.
Attach the greenery die cuts and the butterfly to the bottom section of the tag.
Cut an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 Card base in Mossy Meadow Cardstock
Score @ 4 1/4
Using the chosen designer paper cut a piece at 4 x 5 1/4
Attach the designer series paper layer to the card front.
Apply dimensionals to the back side of the tag and attach to the card front.
Add a little pearl or rhinestone to the butterfly.
Cut a layer of Basic White Cardstock @ 5 1/4 x 4 for the inside panel and stamp the desired images or sentiment, and attach to the inside of the card.
That Easy!
It took me longer to type this out than it did to make the card.
The recipient loved it!
She thought it was beautiful!
In fact, she wants to learn to make one!
Yeah!! π
