5 Minute Monday ~ Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper ~ July 4th

For today's 5 Minute Monday I wanted to use something from the Annual Catalogue combined with something from the New Mini July - December Catalogue, and still have the card be quick easy, and lovely!

While I started out with a different card for today's quick tutorial, it seemed it wasn't going to come in at the 5 minute mark. I'll show that further down in this post.

The original card featured this gorgeous Gingham Cottage  designer paper.  I love the paper, and each and every color and design, though today I was just stuck on the Daffodil Delight for color.

Check out all of the designs below, aren't they awesome!

GINGHAM COTTAGE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER
* 48 sheets of patterned paper: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs

The Gingham Cottage Paper is perfect for so many projects!
I have used this bundle with so many cards, it's definitely a basic staple in my craft room. I was so glad to see it carried over to the Annual Catalogue, which meant it would be sticking around.

This set has some great sentiments and greetings in the stamp set, as well as a few flower images, parts and pieces.
The dies include some absolutely amazing scalloped rectangles, a scalloped edge border and the dies to cut out the coordinating flowers from the stamp set.
For the card in today's tutorial I was looking for a short & sweet greeting, so although the Color & Contour has a thank you sentiment, I really only wanted the simple version.
I pulled out the Shaded Summer stamp set and used the "thank you" greeting from it.
Obviously, any greeting could be used on this card.
The Shaded Summer stamp set is absolutely beautiful and many times I choose to use it on many of my cards.

So now that we've covered the products used to create the card... Let's get on with making it!

Measurements & Instructions:

Basic Thick White Cardstock - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Scored @ 4 1/4

2nd largest scalloped rectangle ( Color & Contour Dies ) in Basic White

Cut & Score the above card pieces.
Using glue or tape seal, attach the Gingham Cottage DSP layer to the front of the card base.
Using Daffodil Delight ink, stamp 2 of the flowers from the stamp set in desired position on the scalloped rectangle layer.
Stamp desired greeting on the same layer.
Using dimensionals, attach the scalloped rectangle to the card front.
Add a few rhinestones to acquire the perfect sparkle to this card.
Stamp the desired images or sentiments on the card inside.

That's it! How easy was that to create a quick & simple card?

I hope you choose to create today's card, and if you do perhaps experiment with other colors, or even different designer series papers!

As mentioned above ~ Below was the original card for today. However, coloring the images fell short of the 5 minutes.
So... top's ... 15 for this gorgeous card.
Give it a try!
