Yes... I created this card in 5 minutes.
You can to!
Here's how...
Grab a piece of Evening Evergreen Cardstock cut at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, and scored @ 4 1/4 to create a card base.
Next, get a piece of paper from the horizons designer series paper pack.
* If you don't have that, it's currently available in the "Last Chance" product sale for the month of June only.
( Since creating this post it appears the Horizons paper may be no longer available, so hopefully you already have some)
Today's card features the Paradise Palms Bundle, though mostly just the Palms die set from it ( the stamps were only used for the card inside.
Let's check the Paradise Palms bundle out for a minute before we get to creating the card.
This set might not look like much, however that would be wrong to think so.
This set has the capability of making your cards just go to "wow".
The die cuts are completely awesome, great add ons for all of our scene cards.
The stamp set itself allows you to create a beautiful serene scene on your card.
The greetings are terrific... I love that it has a retirement sentiment and a birthday sentiment is always a bonus!
Cut 2 of the tall palm trees, and a grass section in Evening Evergreen Cardstock.
Cut out the moon in So Saffron or another of the yellow shades.
They are currently in the Last Chance product sale.
Cut the mountains from Evening Evergreen using the Horizon Dies.
As well as the 2 fence pieces from a scrap of Crumbcake Cardstock.
That was the hard part ~ gathering the dies and card stock colors and die cutting the pieces.
That wasn't hard at all!? π
Ok, let's put this card together.
Cut the Horizons Designer paper at 4 x 5 1/4 and attach the front of the card base.
Attach the mountain die cut pieces right across the horizon section of the DSP paper. I used dimensionals on the center section of the mountains.
Next, turn your palm trees backwards and attach one with glue, and the 2nd using dimensionals in the desired position on the card front.
Attach the 2 sections of fence on either side of the card front. I curl the edges of the fence using my bone folder to add a bit of interest, before gluing them in place.
Tuck the little sun in on the top right side of the card.
Using a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Basic White Cardstock, stamp the desired greeting or images, and attach this panel to the inside of the card.
I didn't use a greeting on the front of this card, since I wanted to use it for a "just any occasion" card.
That's it.. that simple!
Create the card and see how impressed you are with it!
The person you send it to will be even more impressed!
I will post a few more designs from the Paradise Palms Bundle, since that's really what we are featuring here!
So watch for those!
