Well, just how cute is this card?
I know, I ask that a lot, but they are all just so darn cute!
This card features those adorable Sweet Songbirds.
I've also featured some of the New In Colors 2022-24 on this card. I know, I said I wasn't going to cave and purchase those, however, I did. It was clear to me it was going to be difficult to continue creating with current product if I didn't have the colors to go with the product. That's what I told myself anyway... π
So.. do you like it enough to want to make it?
It certainly doesn't matter if you don't have the New in colors, you can make it with colors and designer series paper that you have. However, you must check out the new colors, they just pop! Especially this Parakeet Party!
You want to make it don't you?
Just let me show you some of the product first...
All of the above products were used in the making of this card.

Ok so let's get on with creating this card...

DSP 1 ( 2022-24 In color pack) - 2 5/8 x 4 1/8 * Cut 2
Parakeet Party Cardstock - 6 1/2 x 1 1/4
Score @ 1/2 in each end
DSP 1 ( Tea Boutique ) - 1 1/8 x 5 3/8
Parakeet Party - 4 1/2 x 2
Score @ 1/2, 2 1/2, 4
DSP 2 ( Tea Boutique ) - 1 7/8 x 1 5/8 * Cut 2
Basic White Cardstock - 2 5/8 x 4 1/8 *Cut 2 ( for backside of card )
1/2 x 2 3/4 to stamp greeting
Scraps for stamping
Cut, Score and burnish the above pieces.
Attach the pieces of DSP to the coordinating cardstock pieces.
Attach seal or tear and tape to the little flaps that were created when you scored your cardstock, and attach to the pictured placement on the card front. Attach the 5 1/2 x 1 1/4 last. These little flaps as in the picture below.
Stamp 3 tree branches, 3 -4 sets of leaves, a bird nest, the wooden sign, the sentiment on the white cardstock piece, 1 set of bird feet on the scraps of Cardstock. Then fussy cut these pieces ( I saw that look!), it takes no time at all, really quick, don't be frightened.
Then stamp a bird from the Sweet Songbird Stamp set, along with a wing.
Stamp the beak, and eyes.
Use the punch to punch out the bird and the wing.
Attach the wing to the bird using a mini dimensional.
I stamped 2, so I could decide which color I wanted, you only need 1.
As you can see the Sweet Sorbet bird color won out.
Using this picture as a guide, attach the branches, leaves and nest.
Attach the bird using dimensionals.
Create a bow using some twine and attach it with a glue dot to the tree branch. Place dimensionals on the back of the sign and attach it so that the strings from the bow look like twine holding the sign in the tree.
Adhere the greeting, and add a few resin flowers for a little bling.
Wait a minute... you're not done yet!
Stamp the 2 Basic White Pieces of Cardstock as desired for the back side of your card and attach with seal. I used more branches and the little bird from the Sweet Songbirds stamp set along with a few musical notes.
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial enough to create the card!
