We haven't done Throwback Thursdays in awhile... so I decided to bring them back for a bit. If you don't know Throwback Thursdays is when we usually create a card with retired product.
Retired product... hmmm... ya!
Those products that once were the sneak peek product, new or coming in a future catalogue. We were anxious to purchase them and create with them.
The products arrive, we make a few cards with them, another set (or 2 ) grabs our attention, suddenly it's time for another catalogue change, and another and so forth...
Our once much anticipated product is sitting on a shelf somewhere collecting dust and no attention. Throwback Thursday allows us to regenerate ideas for those products.
Not all of my customers buy all of the new product that comes out in with a new catalogue, some may purchase a few things, some may purchase none. Whichever the case may be, I still want everyone to remain my creative people. I want to be producing content with not only what's new, but what's currently in, and what my customer may have purchased even before that.
So what if I'm creating with a product you don't have and because it's a "retired" item you can't get it? That is why the designs on Thursdays are versatile ( as most layout's are ), so they can be used with pretty much any product you may have. This also allows you to imagine the layout with any new product that may be coming out in the future.
So today's card layout involves some little characters that are just "moo -ving"! That's right today we are using the "Over The Moon" stamp set which seems like was from many moons ago.We are also using a retired designer paper that was from last January's Sale a-bration Flower & Field paper. Gorgeous paper, I wouldn't have been hurt at all if that daisy piece from that paper pack had stuck around forever.
The gems are also not available any longer. They just came out, however were gone as fast as they came. So fast, I don't even know what they were called.
Remember, if you don't have this stamp set or designer paper, use what you have. You'll be amazed with your final project.
Ok, It's cutting time...
