This week we discovered a fun and easy card fold for 5 Minute Monday. Then we turned that layout from vertical to horizontal. Next we stepped the card up a bit, first with rhinestones, then using some extra stamping and die cuts, to create a whole new card.
All of the weeks' cards focused on Sympathy/Thinking of you cards. Though they were all beautiful and easy to create, I don't really like creating Sympathy cards. How about you?
A sympathy card is usually required when someone is suffering a loss, or they are sick, or something tragic has happened in their lives. We never want for someone to be experiencing those times in life, however it is a part of life. We always hope a card helps the recipient have a brighter moment, to know we care, and just bring some love to that person when it's needed most.
To Brighten my spirits when creating Sympathy cards ~ I balance it out with some cheer. That's right, for every sympathy card I create a "happy" card.
What's an occasion that creates a lot of joy and happiness?
The arrival of a baby!!
Yep... this is our 5 Minute Monday card layout. How cheerful is this card?
Those tiny baby clothes hanging on the clothesline, blowing in the wind.
The arrival of a new baby reminds us of the miracles in life!
Actually, the day I created this card for this post, our family received a beautiful little addition. She arrived very much a surprise, she was 6 weeks early. However, it was perfect timing to be creating baby cards.
I also created this in a vertical version below.
Instead of stamping the inside, I continued the clothes on the clothesline with die cut baby clothes.
I absolutely love this set. The little clothes, those tiny little clothespins! This set has so much to offer when it comes to making baby cards. In my opinion, it is by far the best baby set we have had.
It is currently set to retire in June. However you can still grab it in the last chance product sale, while supplies last.
Just click the below to shop that sale.
Apparently since I created this card, the stamp set has sold out. The "Baby Clothes Dies" are still available at a reduced price. The dies can still be used to cut the clothes from designer paper and could be used with another baby stamp set. There may be one in the sale. π’
That's how fast these products go!
So let's check out this last card!
Adorable right?

These cards just show how easily the 5 Minute Monday card layout is to create many different cards.
I've got some rambling around in my head space as I type. π
I hope you have enjoyed the cards this week! I really hope you give the layout a try and I would love to see what you've created!
