Today's 5 Minute Monday is a beautiful Sympathy/Thinking of You Card. The card layout lends a little intrigue, however the card is really all about the designer series paper.
"New Horizons" designer series paper completely makes this card. This paper is gorgeous, each and every sheet of it.
It has made card designing such a creative adventure, therefor I have created a lot of cards using it.
This picture doesn't do the paper justice!
Along with the paper, came the "On the Horizon" Bundle ( stamp & die set )
Awesome, right?!
This stamp set, dies, and designer paper will be leaving us in June ( to the best of my knowledge ).
Extremely disappointing π, since it hasn't been with us long.
I will be stocking up on this paper for sure!!
The Paper is a stand alone product!
You can create a card with basically this paper and a sentiment!!
It doesn't get any easier than that.
Today's card has a little more to it than just the paper, only due to the unique card fold.
So let's get to it!
Measurements & Instructions:
Soft Succulent Cardstock - 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 (card base)
Scored @ 4 1/4
Soft Succulent Cardstock - 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 ( front panel )
Designer Paper - 4 1/8 x 5 3/8
3/4 x 5 1/4 ( for card inside )
Basic White - 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 ( inside layer )
Cut & score card pieces.
On the Designer Paper Layer stamp the birds as pictured on card and the "Thinking of you" sentiment from the On The Horizon stamp set.
Attach to front of card base.
Adhere the Designer paper layer to the Front panel Layer.
Attach the right side of the Front Panel Layer to the card front. *Be sure to only attach the right side of this layer to the card front.
Stamp a sentiment on the inside panel. I used a greeting from "Inspired Thoughts" stamp set. Attach the small strip of Designer paper to the right outside edge of the inside layer. Adhere this layer to the inside of the card.
That's it! Done!
How easy was that?
The card is ready to send off to someone just when they need it the most...
The layout adds a little fun to the card with a simple little twist from the classic card fold.
I created another example of this card layout using the same paper. Equally as beautiful!
I hope you enjoyed today's 5 Minute Monday!
