5 Minute Monday ~ Sweet Ice Cream Bundle

5 Minute Monday ~ Sweet Ice Cream

How Yummy is this card?!
Five Minute Monday this week is a very simple card layout. A lot like many cards we have have created already, which will make it super easy!
I used the Color & Contour dies on this card. However if you don't have those dies, first of all ~ get them, and don't worry you can just cut a piece of Dsp or Cardstock for these cards. In this case I used Basic White cardstock.
This card layout again, is very versatile and can be used with pretty much any stamp image as the focal point, yet this Ice Cream Cone is just so delicious!
And "you melt my heart" ~ come on, really, how sweet is that sentiment? The whole set is just simply sweet ice cream cones, popsicles and tasty little sentiments and greetings.
The Ice Cream Builder Punch makes card making and paper crafting even easier. With the click of a punch you have an adorable little ice cream cone in seconds. You don't really have to stamp anything, since the cutouts alone would a make a really cute design on a card.

Let's get on with this quick & easy card...
Card Cutting Measurements & Instructions:

Soft Suede Cardstock: 8 1/2 x 5 1/2
Scored @ 4 1/4
Basic white Cardstock: 5 1/4 x 4 ( or large die from Color & Contour dies )
Basic White: 2 x 1/4 ( Sentiment layer )
5 x 4 1/4 ( card inside )
Scraps for stamping Ice Cream Cone pieces

Cut & Score the card pieces.  Using the little splatter type stamp from the "Sweet Ice Cream" stamp set, randomly stamp splatters to cover the front of the rectangular piece of white cardstock. Attach to card front.
Using Soft Suede Ink and the cone stamp - stamp off once and then stamp the cone on a scrap of white cardstock.  With soft suede stamp the waffle pattern on the inside of the cone.
Stamp 1, 2 or 3 ice cream scoops, depending on how many you would like on the card. In this case I used 3.  White with the splatter pattern, soft suede and flirty flamingo. Use the same splatter stamp in coordinating ink to to stamp on the ice cream scoops to add some texture to the ice cream.
Stamp " You melt my Heart " on the sentiment layer. Attach using glue or seal on the right of the card front about an inch and a quarter up from the bottom.
Attach the ice cream cone to desired placement using dimensionals.
Stamp the inside panel with a sentiment or greeting of your choice. You can even decorate the inside panel with more ice cream scoops! Stamping off once before stamping on the inside of the card leaves a more subtle effect. Attach the inside layer of the card.

*** Below are 2 additional examples of this card layout.
For these 2 cards replace the Basic White Rectangle with -
Basic White: 3 3/4 x 5
Designer Series Paper: 3 5/8 x 4 7/8
Matte these 2 pieces together and attach to card front.
just Designer Series paper cut at 5 1/4 x 4

And that's it.. just like that...
An adorable card, ready to send off in the mail.

You can see that depending on the colors you choose for Designer Series Paper and Ice Cream Cones can totally change the look of this simple layout.
Also, the number of ice cream scoops.

No matter what options you choose, the card turns out so sweet with the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set & Punch!
